Can a dog really be a hero?

I read an article called, “Dog saves abandoned baby from forest”. We all are heroes in this world….A dog was in search of food for her newly born puppies when she came across an abandoned 2-week old baby in a forest that was (situated south of the capital of Nairobi). Miraculously the dog then took the child (that was wrapped in dirty cloth) across a dangerous road and through a barbed wire fence and placed it near her own puppies. (No, she was not expecting the puppies to eat the child as some might think!) A witness, Stephen Thoya, claims that he heard a child crying and saw the dog carrying the child across the street. Mary Adhiambo, proud owner of the dog says that her dog never once let the child out of sight and the dog cared for it until it was able to be rescued. Once Ms. Adhiambo had spotted the child she rushed it to the hospital. They named the child Angel (what better name than that…?). “This is ultimate proof that dogs really are a man's best friend!”
