I read chapter 6 from the book Zero called Infinity’s Twin. Similarities between Infinity and zero have been known since the Renaissance. Take for example, if you multiply anything by zero, its zero and if you multiply anything by infinity, you get infinity. Zero and Infinity are the yin and yang of our world, they hold a great unknown power. Zero was not the only number that suffered from exile and ignorance, other numbers were treated equally the same. Indian Mathematicians accepted zero while Europe rejected it, and the East worshiped and used negative numbers while the West tried to not understand it. Many people refused to accept negative numbers and these people called negative numbers “False Roots”. To move on to further topics, the first development was projective geometry that came into existence at time of war. In the 1700’s the European countries were very tense and were searching for power.
